                    Anhui Rubber Technology Association's U.S.Inspection Trip in 2019

From October 5th to November 13th, 2019, Ms. WuYunxia, Deputy Secretary-General of the Anhui Rubber Association, organized theentire journey, with President

Zhu Dexian and Vice President Yao Nengpinleading a strong team of 12 members from the Rubber Association.

They conducteda 9day rubber technology exchange and business inspection trip to the UnitedStates. During this period, the delegates attended the American RubberTechnology Exhibition, engaged in industry and technical exchanges with theDean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering at the University ofAkron, and visited rubber laboratories. This inspection trip followed theapproach of "exhibition inspection + exchange and learning + culturalexperience," which allowed us not only to understand the current marketsituation and future development directions of the rubber industry in theUnited States but also to appreciate American culture and local customs.

Known as the soul of America, San Diego is one of the West Coast'smajor tourist cities and has always been a must-visit destination for travelersfrom around the world. San Diego is truly praiseworthy, boasting a pleasantclimate, subtropical vegetation, and breathtaking coastline. The city offersunparalleled natural beauty and a rich cultural heritage. It serves as asignificant naval base and port city, and its proximity to Mexico infuses itwith Mexican influences. During our visit here, we toured the naval base,witnessed aircraft carriers, and enjoyed the delightful seaside scenery.

Here, our delegates visited one of theworld's leading rubber universities, the University of Akron - the RubberCapital. They were personally received by Dean Ali Dhinojwala and engaged indiscussions to gain insights into the University of Akron's currentcollaborations with global rubber companies, industry research directions, andprojects. They also had the opportunity to tour the rubber laboratories andvisit the former residence of the

"Father of Rubber," Goodyear.

The International Elastomer Conference (IEC) in the United States has evolved over several decades into a globally renowned specialized rubber technology exhibition. On average, it attracts over 7,000 professional attendees from more than a hundred countries annually, with nearly 300 companies participating, representing various sectors like rubber machinery, additives, raw materials, rubber products, rubber and plastic products, equipment services, and media. With the expansion of the exhibition scale, its industry influence

continues to grow. Representatives from associations engage in various

forms of technical and business discussions with major exhibitors, resulting

in fruitful outcomes
